Osoberry Blossums
Native to South Surrey, the forests are full of Osoberry bushes. In Spring they all flower early in the season offering lots of colour to the still bare forests.

Standing by the side of the road this tree was offering a wonder display to any who would take a moment to stop and enjoy.

Ghosts of Stave - Arcrylic
Stave Lake is littered with hundreds of these old soldiers. When the river was dammed and the lake formed to generate power for the insatiable appetite of us humans, the once beautiful trees that resided in the valley were simply abandoned. Decades later their ghosts, still standing silently in the water, are a silent witness to the destructiveness of man. Even now their latent beauty is a marvel to behold. This scene was discovered on September 25, 2004

Elora Bridge
Captured on October 22, 2003 this acrylic rendition of the small creek feeding the Grand River in Elora Ontario was one I could have spent hours just being quiet in. The gentle flow of the water over the rocks, the bright colours of the autumn leaves and the abruptness of the man made bridge come together to create a place of remarkable tranquility. I will definitely be returning to spend more time enjoying this place.
