Last year we purchased tire chains for the truck and used them a few times but we kept snapping links. After our first trip where we used them this season, we decided to give up with them. They just weren't strong enough.

So new heavy chains were purchased. They are actually fairly easy to put on and after trying them out on a couple of trips, I can say that they work really well. They dig in and grip the ice or hard pack snow very quickly and allow us to blaze through virgin snow with ease, and not a single damaged link.
