Frost $19.95

This small fir twig was discovered along the Folley Creek Forestry Road on December 8, 2007. Everything in sight was covered in thick frost giving a wonderful look to the area. This little twig caught my attention and I was able to capture this photo before I got too cold and had to retire to the truck.

Ghosts of Stave (LE) $119.95

Stave Lake is littered with hundreds of these old soldiers. When the river was dammed and the lake formed to generate power for the insatiable appetite of us humans, the once beautiful trees that resided in the valley were simply abandoned. Decades later their ghosts, still standing silently in the water, are a silent witness to the destructiveness of man. Even now their latent beauty is a marvel to behold. This scene was discovered on September 25, 2004.

Misty Sunrise over Mt. Baker $99.95

This winter Sunrise captured on February 11, 2004 caught the perfect timing for the sun coming up directly behind Mount Baker. The fog sitting on the plains adds to the texture of this image in the way it sets off the silhouette of the mountains. I like the grainy look to the image as it adds a surreal tone to the world out there. The deep amber tone also adds a unique flavour to the morning image that subtly reminds me of the freezing temperatures of the dawn.

North Shore Coast $99.95

Captured on January 31,2004 This view can be seen from Lighthouse park just east of Point Atkinson. The view looks eastward, up Burrard Inlet. It was the solidness yet smoothness of the rocks as they stretch right down into the water that attracted me to this image. Even with their strength and permanence they show the marks of a stronger foe – water. I also found the few trees that were pioneering in the crevasses a testimony to the indefatigable spirit of life.

Juniper Point Summer Sunset $99.95

Taken two days before the Summer Solstice on June 19, 2004, this phenomenal sunset was the view from Juniper Point in Lighthouse Park. The shape and location of this tree keep bringing me back to the point. The tree grows right out of the solid rock at the top of a vertical cliff! On this day, two groups of rock climbers were trying their skills in the setting sun. It was a pleasant evening with several groups of people enjoying the setting sun.

Leaves $79.95

Wandering through the Sunnyside Urban forest is a relaxing pass-time and good exercise. This small branch just happened to be well positioned to capture the light against the forest backdrop. It reminded me of the ubiquitousness yet individuality of life. One branch among thousands yet each leaf is uniquely formed and placed. This image was captured on August 30, 2003

Harvest Bounty $99.95

This beautiful harvest display was placed outside the main entrance to the Jakobstettel Inn in St. Jacobs, Ontario. I discovered this beautiful arrangement on September 30, 2002 as I arrived at the Inn for our annual visit.

Sailboat Sunset $119.95

If one waits patiently you can catch the moment when the returning boats combine with the setting sun to produce memorable glimpses into a quieter lifestyle that so often eludes us as we rush between tasks. I enjoy coming back to Crescent Beach just to enjoy these moments. This image captured on August 1, 2003 is one of those occasions; the sun was perfectly positioned for this boat as it slowly edged its way to harbour.

Lady Peak $79.95

From this angle the peak looks more like a square lump of rock then a massive mountain peak, but its strength and grandeur still can be felt. If you look closely you can see people hiking to the peak. The sheerness of the north face, which drops a few thousand feet, is quite breath taking when you stand next to it. This view can be seen as one approaches the summit of Mt. Cheam and was what I saw on July 19, 2003 Lady Peak is 2189 meters in elevation and located only a few miles east of Chilliwack, BC.

Oregon Coast $79.95

Very scenic and always inspiring, the Oregon coast offers a huge variety of vistas to enjoy. This image was taken in the early 1980’s during a short vacation along the coast. The length of the beach is what attracted me to this image; it seems to go on forever. The number of individual waves breaking on the sand serves to demonstrate the grandness and power of nature – it just isn’t done in skimpy cost counting fashion.
